I recently moved from Florida to Alabama while I am finishing school. Moving hasn’t been easy for me, sometimes it’s tough being the new kid in town! I just want my room to be a comforting place to spend time and chill out but I am having quite the dilemma when it comes to choosing a color that blends with my bedroom decor. I was thinking green but there are so many shades I am lost! I had Leapfrog or Grape Green in mind, but they are total opposites! I need your expertise and skill to help guide my way. I hope to hear from you!
Green is a nice decorating color because it works well with so many other colors. Both of the colors you mention below would make terrific accents on one wall. They are both saturated and bold, and Leap Frog sits a bit more on the yellow side than the green side of the color wheel.
If you use strong colors like this I would suggest keeping lots of white in your room to balance the intensity. You can also add other bright colors like aqua or orange in decorative accents.
I decided to go to town over the holiday weekend and add some color to my walls! I chose to go with Rolling Hills and it’s funny that you mentioned orange and aqua accents because that’s what I ended up with. Attached is the after photo 🙂
The result is spectacular! We hope you enjoy your room Kaitlyn.
