How To Apply BEHR PREMIUM® Protector and Waterproofer

Skill:  Novice DIY'er

Protect your surfaces from corrosion, spalling, efflorescence and freeze-thaw damage with our premium waterproofer.

For Best Results:

Make sure your surface is cleaned and prepped before applying the waterproofer. 
For new or uncoated surfaces, refer to: Preparation of Uncoated Concrete for Sealers 

For uncoated pavers, brick or natural stone, refer to: Preparation of Uncoated Pavers, Brick or Natural Stone

Suggested Supplies

  • Broom (Stiff Bristle)
  • Rags
  • Scrub Brush
  • Protective Apparel
  • Hose
  • Chemical Resistant Gloves
  • High Pressure Nozzle

  • Mop
Step 1

After the surface is cleaned and prepped, apply the BEHR PREMIUM® Protector and Waterproofer until the surface is saturated. Apply the product to a dry surface with a brush, roller or garden sprayer.

TIP:
The spread rate is 250 sq. ft per gallon. Use when air and surface temperatures are between 50-90 degrees F. Do not apply in direct sunlight, on wet surfaces, or if rain or heavy dew is expected within 24 hrs.
Step 2

Remove any puddles by spreading product to drier areas or by wiping off excess with a clean cloth.

Step 3

On vertical surfaces, apply the waterproofer from the bottom up and saturate thoroughly.

TIP:
The Proterctor and Waterproofer will cure within 24-48 hrs.
Step 4

Once dried, rough, vertical surface may be coated with an oil or latex-based paint or primer. DO NOT paint horizontal surfaces after applying this product.

Clean up with soap and water.
