Used on a metal playground equipmentOur company was purchased this paint for a neighborhood volunteer project. We were painting the rails, poles on the gazebo and the metal benches throughout the park. We wanted something that would last for a long time and stand up to weather. 6 months later they still look like new and everyone loves the Mid-Century colors we choose.

Takes forever to cureI have used Behr exterior latex to paint my entire home in the past and it was one of the best paints I ever used. However, for interior trim I wanted the hard enamel finish I feel only an oil base paint can provide. I was painting kitchen cabinets. I realize they say "do not use on horizontal surfaces". I did take the doors down and paint them on a bench. But the paint will not "cure". I say that as the outside coating will "dry" (skin over) within 24 hours. However, even weeks later you can still press on the painted surface and leave a finger print or even a dent in the paint. A week. Two weeks. Even three weeks later. It is as though the outside surface dries quickly and seals the oils underneath from being able to "evaporate" and fully cure. If I barely brushed on a coat of paint which I tried thinning, and I dried the doors in a hot (almost 80 degrees from an external heater), I could get the doors to cure within a week. But any coat thicker than the thinnest coat, or just a normal environment (70 degree home), I could not get the paint to solidly cure.

It stands outOil based paints are difficult to work with. Unlike water based paints the only fix is a sander. BUT done right and allowed proper dry/cure time the paint is dazzling and jumps out at you.

My Wallpaper nightmareWe bought a home that needed to have the old wallpaper removed. But, the paste would peal off the paint if not treated right. A oll-base paint is the best way to do this. This paint did a great job of sealing in the residue glue. We love the look of the final job
