  4. Behr Premium Plus With Style Bellagio Faux is perfect for creating an old world European look to your walls. Let Behr Paints and Faux Finishes show you how to achieve exactly the look you want.

  5. A Bellagio Finish is easily created by applying one or more Bellagio colors over a new or existing base color. Interested in using your existing surface color as the base color? No problem, as long as it is in good condition. If you’re choosing a new base color, we recommend PREMIUM PLUS® in a Flat, Eggshell, Satin, or Semi-Gloss Enamel sheen. Once you begin applying the Bellagio colors to the base color, make sure to allow the proper drying (set-up) times for the Bellagio Finish.

  6. Generously load a nylon/polyester brush with tinted BELLAGIO FAUX product. Starting at a top corner of your project area, brush (cut in) a 3” section around the perimeter of the working surface. Continue along the ceiling and the corners of the wall.

  7. Liberally reload your brush and use random “X” like strokes to cover a 3’ x 3’ section. Continue the process in 3’ x 3’ sections until the entire surface is covered.

TIP: It is not necessary to cover the base color completely.

  8. Allow the BELLAGIO FAUX to set until it begins to lose its wet look. Refer to the recommended drying (set-up) time above.

  9. Return to the initial 3’ x 3’ section. Using a steel trowel, smooth down the product by applying soft pressure in “X” like strokes.

  10. Repeat this process by moving down and across the surface until the entire project is complete. Be sure to blend each completed section into the new section.

  11. Allow 4 hours for the surface to dry before another tinted topcoat of BELLAGIO FAUX is applied. A longer drying time will be required in cooler temperatures and in higher humidity.

TIP: To increase the depth and dimension of your surface, apply a second topcoat of tinted BELLAGIO FAUX using the same process as the first.

  12. Repeat the process until the project is complete.
