Decorate Your Statement Wall with Trim Board Moulding.

Sprucing up your entryway can be done simply by enhancing just one wall. A few pieces of panel moulding and a fresh coat of paint are all you need to make a welcoming statement.

A geometric design using rectangular, diamond or square shapes is a clean and simple way to create a stunning focal point. Use a pencil to draw the pattern on your wall. Measure and cut your moulding to the sizes needed. Trim Board is available for projects like these at The Home Depot. With a nail gun, adhere the moulding, paint and enjoy your new wall! A bench with pillows, a storage basket and a plant complete the look for an inviting entry.

If you want to highlight the texture of the design, use a different sheen for the moulding. In this case, paint the moulding prior to adhering to the painted wall. Depending on your angle, the light bounces off the sheen giving depth and character.

Using ornamental moulding can enhance your design as well. Choices can vary from narrower, wider, or embellished options. The color you choose also plays a big part. A slightly darker color than the rest of the room keeps the textured wall understated but still the focus.

For a more dramatic look, paint in a brighter or bolder color from the other walls. Choose what fits your style best.
