Trend Color Spotlight: Soul Search

A modern dining room painted in a deep blue color called Soul Search T18-14. Decorative elements include a white ceramic plates and metallic gold-ware, a modern lighting fixture and an abstract painting.
When selecting color for a dining room, the first thing that might come to one’s mind is the thought that warm hues such as yellow, orange and red stimulate the appetite and are the ideal colors to use. Though this is true, to some extent, it isn’t a constraint on what colors can be used in a dining room. Don’t be afraid to break away and run with a bold blue like Soul Search T18-14 -a deep, soothing, aquatic blue inspired by the ocean depths.
A top view of an open paint can showcasing blue wet paint.
Dining rooms should be convivial, welcoming and comfortable, a place to converge, dine, entertain and bond with your family.  Soul Search can bring all this and more.  The warm undertone of this blue, makes it a perfect pairing for gold metallic accents and blonde woods, creating a dining room with a beautiful and contemporary yet–eclectic feel.
Colorfully yours,
Diana

This color looks beautiful in this article but when you search for it at the store they display a very different tone, more like a turquoise 😪

Hi Yahaira – thanks for contacting us with your comment. We also love Soul search and it is definitely a deep and relaxing blue. Its color formula is active and available to purchase online and at your local home depot. Unfortunately, the color swatch is is no longer in available.
We suggest trying this little exercise before stating any paint project begins, start with with an 8 oz. sample container of the color you choose and apply it to a small area on your wall to ensure your satisfaction with the color choice. It is always a good idea to see how the natural light and ambient conditions affect the color. A little homework before the real paining project begins can help keep surprises from happening later on!
Also, if you like Soul Search you might also live Living Stream M490-6 which is a very close color and the chip is available at the home depot.

Note: Due to differences in monitors and technical factors, the colors here cannot be represented with their true qualities. Digital color sample should only be considered a guide.

      Hope this helps!

      Colorfully Yours,
      Diana
