\nYou’ve probably heard or seen in some way, shape or form about the current darling of the interior design world- farmhouse style.  You may be questioning what the hullabaloo is all about, or whether your home is right for the look. To bring you in the “know”, I will provide a breakdown of the style motivations and a palette of our most popular supporting color selections.  
\nThe, new farmhouse, look is a fresh and modern take on what we would historically consider a classic country style.  What’s changed between then and now is the perceived requirement of an actual farmhouse.  The style, in its modern rendition, is more than just decor and color, its a lifestyle that anyone, anywhere can adopt.  So no cows necessary.

\nFueling the farmhouse movement is a revived interest and appreciation in true craftsmanship, and simple, functional design.  The guiding mentality encourages us to connect to our roots, live within our means, and recognize the beauty and value of our heritage.

Upper walls: Greenwhich Village N440-3<\/a>, Lower walls, trim ceiling: Swiss Coffee 12<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

The bones of the style remain, with heirloom pieces taking center stage.  The look is transitioned from country to casual with the addition of modern decor elements, contemporary patterns, metallic finishes and soft textures.

The overall styling is clean, meaning everything has its place, not spartan.  Spaces should be inviting, with a lived-in, laid back feel.<\/p>\n

The color palette consists of sun bleached, pastels, whites and light toned neutrals.  Deep, earth based, colors in browns, reds, greens and blues accent the palette.

Or, neutral walls, of barely there color, supporting brighter accents and stained wood finishes.<\/p>\n
