The original bathroom once felt bright and crisp but became sterile and basic over time. We wanted the mood for this bathroom to feel welcoming, fresh, and clean. We also didn\u2019t want to spend much money fixing up the space. Painting the cabinets and fixtures was a great way to keep the cost down and get the feel we wanted.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Start with the prep work; clean the surface, scuff sand, tape off, and prime with BEHR Kitchen, Bath & Trim Stain-Blocking Primer & Sealer<\/a>. With any paint project, this is important and helps to keep the finish smooth.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Once the prep work is done you can begin to paint. We used BEHR PREMIUM\u2122<\/sup>\u00a0CABINET, DOOR & TRIM ENAMEL<\/a>, in Satin finish. A subtle relaxed gray-green, Jungle Camouflage<\/a> was used on the cabinets to give the room warmth.<\/p>\r\n

When choosing between Satin and Semi-Gloss for bathroom cabinets, consider both durability and everyday maintenance. Satin offers a soft, smooth appearance that helps minimize the look of fingerprints and smudges, while Semi-Gloss provides a slightly higher sheen that is extremely durable and easy to wipe clean in high-use areas. Both finishes are ideal for cabinets, so the best choice depends on the level of shine and cleanability you prefer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

BEHR PREMIUM Spray Paint has a wide range of specialty finishes and is the perfect match for bathroom accessories and hardware. Remove items before spraying. Place them on a drop cloth outside or in a well-vented area and spray. Two to three thin coats may be needed for best results. Oil Rubbed Bronze<\/a> pairs nicely with the cabinet color and gives the accessories an updated look. A touch of Rose Gold<\/a> compliments the bronze accessories.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
