Wonderful product, best water based poly

So I work with all sorts of different wood finishes and polyurethane and spar urathane products are one of the more common ones used for a lower cost, durable and beautiful finish. Ive applied it with different applicators and personality find that I like to use a microfiber pad and do several thin layers sanding in-between. I used them on all of the exterior hardwood doors on a home I helped build and so far over a year later there is no signs of wear or weathering. The only reason I give it 4/5 is I generally prefer using oil based finishes over water based. I will say that the water based ones are much easier to clean up and use. Satin tends to be my go to sheen for most projects also.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Fantastic on flea market buffet at damp cottage

I bought a beat up flea-market buffet for my cottage. This is water-front property that is damp all the time. I covered the top in this product and it looks great and now the wood is protected from the damp environment. It applied like a dream and dried with no brush marks. Hoping to get a lifetime of use out of this old but newly beautiful furniture.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Excellent product

I am restoring a vintage Shasta travel trailer, which is exposed to extreme temperature changes, so I wanted a durable product. The spar urethane goes on smoothly and provides excellent coverage. I did a light sand between coats, which led to a very nice looking, smooth finish.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Very pleased with the results

I have always used a traditional oil based spar varnish before with excellent results so I purchased the Behr water based spar urethane being very skeptical. My project was a large cedar birdhouse that I built myself and wanted to protect from harsh Idaho weather. Much to my surprise the water based urethane went on easily, flowed very well, and did not leave brush marks which was a concern as it is water based. It has a deep gloss and brings out the richness of the wood grain. It’s only been on for a year but in spite of numerous snow storms and freezing temperatures it has held up fantastically and looks like the day I applied it!

Yes, I recommend this product.
