How to Paint Furniture with BEHR^® Chalk Decorative Paint

Screwdriver

Sanding Block

Step 1
Grab your tools.
Step 2
Using a screwdriver, remove all hardware and drawers.
Step 3
Wipe the furniture to remove any dust.
Step 4
Prep the surface by gently sanding using a sanding block. Wipe off any excess dust.
Step 5
Lay the dresser drawers flat over a drop cloth.
Step 6
Using a BEHR^® Chalk Decorative Paint Brush and BEHR^® Chalk Decorative Paint, apply smooth even strokes to the dresser drawer in the direction of the grain.
Step 7
Make sure to get into all the nooks and crannies.

TIP: For more control while you're painting, try holding the brush by the ferrule.
Step 8
Allow 2 hours for the BEHR^® Chalk Decorative Paint to fully dry.
Step 9
Using a BEHR^® Chalk Decorative Wax Brush, apply BEHR^® Wax Decorative Finish. Note that a little goes a long way.
Step 10
Allow wax to dry before buffing to desired sheen.
Step 11
Wash your tools with warm soapy water.
Step 12
