WHERE TO USE

Over properly prepared uncoated and previously painted interior/exterior surfaces.
Ideal for masonry, stucco, drywall, galvanized metal, ferrous metals, vinyl, aluminum, wood, concrete and on glossy surfaces or oil-based paint.

PREP

All surfaces must be properly prepared and clean, free of dust, chalk, oil, grease, wax, polish, mold and mildew, loose and peeling paint, rust and all other foreign substances
Etch galvanized metal with a product such as BEHR PREMIUM® Concrete & Masonry Cleaner & Etcher No. 991.
Allow new concrete, stucco, CMU and other masonry surfaces to cure for 7 days. Test for pH and moisture levels before applying primer, confirming the moisture content is 15% or lower and pH is 13 or below prior to coating.
Remove efflorescence using a solution of one part vinegar and one part water, or a commercially available efflorescence remover. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow the surface to dry completely.
Scuff sand glossy and metal surfaces and repair imperfections.

APPLICATION

Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 35-90°F.
Use a high quality 3/8-1/2" nap roller cover or nylon/polyester brush.
Stir primer occasionally.
Do not thin.
For patched areas, spot prime first, then apply a full coat of primer over the entire surface.
Two coats may be required for heavy stains and tannin-rich wood. For light stains, apply the topcoat after 4 hours; for heavy stains, wait 16 hours before applying the topcoat.
For optimal performance, this primer must be topcoated within 30 days.
Do not use on floors.

DISPOSAL

For disposal of empty containers, unused paint and soiled rags, contact your household refuse collection service.

If this product is found not to perform as specified on the label during the warranty period, Behr Paint Company will, at its option and upon presentation of proof-of-purchase (the original receipt), either furnish an equivalent amount of new product or refund the original purchase price of this product to you. This warranty excludes (1) labor and costs of labor for the application or removal of any product, and (2) any incidental or consequential damages, whether based on breach of express or implied warranty, negligence, strict liability or any other legal theory. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
