How to sand cabinets
There are a couple of different ways to sand, but for smaller jobs like a cabinet, it is better to use a block sander for more control.
Do I Really Need to Sand My Cabinets Before Painting?
Yes. Sanding is an essential step when painting cabinets because it removes the existing topcoat, smooths imperfections, and helps the new paint properly adhere to the surface. Skipping this step can lead to peeling, chipping, or an uneven finish over time.
For Best Results:
Take your time sanding to achieve an even surface and remove any previous top coating. This will help the paint adhere to the surface, giving you a smooth finish.
