The bottle we bought this year seemed to not dry as evenly as prior bottles. Overall, it gives a great shine to our pressed stone patio.

Have been using it for maybe 15 years, very happy

I have been buying this product in Home Depot for last maybe 15-20 years and obviously I like it a lot. My driveway is made of pavers, in the shade of brown/beige, just basic earth tones. Every 4 or 5 years I power wash it with my compressor and then apply just one coat of sealer using sprayer, and this is it. The driveway is over 20 years old and still looks amazing, it keeps the luster for 4 years easily.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Remedy for unexpected rain ?

I have applied this sealer in the past with fantastic results. I sprayed my patio this morning and then another coat this afternoon . There was no rain as of this morning forecasted until tomorrow evening however a surprise thunderstorm rolled through around 6pm only a couple of hours after my last coat. It down poured for a few min and there has been some slight rain afterward. The patio is smooth surface not stamped what would be the best remedy to go over it with an additional coat if it looks dull?

Yes, I recommend this product.

Turns black when it gets wet and becomes slimy

Is this product water soluble even when dry? Our contractor used it on our brand new concrete floors and applied two very uneven leaving lots of streaks. Is it self leveling? If so it did not work. There are white lines where moisture is coming back up and lots of steak marks where it is too thick and bubbly or too thin. When water drops on it it turns black and gets slimy like it is reactivated. The black spots do dry but I don’t want my floor sealer getting on my feet every time it gets dampened. The smell is also enough to make me light headed a week later even with fans and lots of cross breeze. Can I use my steam cleaner on this product if it is so flimsy? Is there any comparable product I can put over it to make it more durable and correct all the steak marks and moisture marks? Thanks.

No, I do not recommend this product.

it works if used correctly

works as it sais doesn't deepen the color like a solvent would. Keeps a nice light sealed appearance, I would also use upto 3-4 coats. But thin always thin, this stuff is very thick compared to regular wax.

No difference at all!

We applied one heavy coat to an aggregate concrete driveway, and I have to tell you it looks absolutely the same as before! I am waiting for a few days to see if there is any waterproofing properties, but I feel liekw e just threw $80 away for nothing. I have approximately 6 more areas the same size to coat and there is NO WAY i will use this product. Going to try another product

Hi there, thank you for reviewing our Wet Look Sealer. I’m sorry that you didn't see any difference after one coat of the sealer. Although one coat. Since only one coat was applied, I'd recommend applying another coat of the sealer, and it will increase the level of gloss on the aggregate. Up to 4 coats of the sealer can be applied, depending on the amount of gloss you are looking for. I’ve also reached out to you via email to learn more about your project and assist you with this further. Hi there, thank you for reviewing our Wet Look Sealer. I'm sorry to hear that the dealer didn't provide a wet look as advertised with two coats. Disappointed in the Finshed Product....

I'm a bit disappointed in the overall appearance of the finished product. As others have mentioned in reviews, the finish is milky and blotchy in some areas, in spite of following the manufacturer's directions. I also feel that the product didn't go as far as it should have based on the 200-450 sq ft. per gallon. I ended up using 20 gallons (four 5-gallon buckets from Home Depot at nearly $200 per unit). I think it should look better than it does after spending $800 to seal my patio and concrete pool decking. I've been a loyal Behr customer for my entire adult life, but this stuff let me down...

Thank you for your review. I'm terribly sorry to hear our Wet-Look Sealer didn't provide the coverage you expected and that the finish is blotchy. That is not the performance we expect of the sealer, and I can understand your disappointment. Our Wet-Look Sealer should cover about 250-450 sq. ft. With that in mind, 20 gallons will cover about 5,000 sq. ft. with one coat, or 2,800 sq. ft. with two coats. For the best performance and to ensure uniformity, we recommend applying thin coats and allowing the surface to dry for at least 4 hours in between coats. To fix the finish, I recommend allowing the surface to dry for 24 hours before applying another coat to a small area where it looks milky. Allow it to dry for 4-6 hours as that may reactivate the previous coat and allow it to dry clear. Alternatively, you can dab a small amount of denatured alcohol on the milky/blotchy areas and wipe it clean with a damp cloth. That will allow the affected areas to dry clear. If that does not resolve the issue, I recommend applying a solid stain over the surface or removing and reapplying the sealer. Your satisfaction is important to us and we appreciate you being a loyal customer. I've reached out to you directly via email to learn more about your project and help you turn this around. I hope to hear from you soon!

Hi-Gloss Concrete Sealer that outperformed Zep

I obtained this brand new still sealed product for free at one of our recycling facilities where people who have money donate things for people who don’t have money. I’m so glad I got this bc we ripped up 40 year old carpet and had bare concrete floors. I felt like I was losing my marbles walking over a bare concrete floor and have you ever tried to clean a newly naked concrete floor that had carpet pretty much rot on it for 40 years? Just save yourself a psych hospitalization and don’t. Couple that with trying to put flooring in when you never have and are on a shoestring budget. I picked this doozy up and immediately came home and started slapping (just joshin I really did read the instructions and follow them to a T. I am a Virgo!) I started painting the product on my 100 grit feeling concrete that had been Muratic Acided (yes I just made up a word) and fully prepped and correctly prepared (just in case the Behr people are reading along). The bottom line is it made it shiny!!! It made it walkable!!! I need about another 3 bottles and some Concrete Polisher (for real in case the Behr people are noticing lol) and feel like donating for a good cause. Conclusively I would recommend this Behr concrete sealer for your floors. I also nabbed a bottle of Z*p semi-gloss sealer and it sucked compared to Behr. It looked like it didn’t do anything and I’m so glad I didn’t waste money that I don’t have on that. I have been told that floor shops sell actual commercial industrial grade products that are superior but I can’t imagine the bill you’d have and this Behr product made my home floor go from unmanageable to livable in a matter of hours. I’m going to try to add pics later.

Yes, I recommend this product.

looks great

I've used the Behr Wet Look sealer on at least 75 projects ranging from epoxy garage floors to raw concrete. Looks great and wears well. It is important to not put it on too thick to avoid a white, cloudy finish. I use a 1/4" roller and applied light even coats when not in direct sunlight or high heat. This works well with 2 coats applied.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Very disappointed with this product results

I just finished trying to seal our new patio area with this product. I followed the instructions to the "T" but a large area turned milky white. The temps were in the 70 - 80 range, sun had just gone behind the house, concrete was completely dry & I put it on with a thin coating rolled with a 1/4 nap roller. First areas worked great but then the center section turned completely white. How can I resolve this issue as it really stands out & looks very bad?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Very Unhappy with the results!!

3 years ago I sealed my concrete driveway stain with this product. It dried milky in some spots which totally made it an eyesore. I chalked it up to opetator error. This year I followed the directions to the "T" and in perfect weather, absent direct sun, etc., and it still, though not as bad, but still looks like crap in a couple of areas. Applying a sealer should never be this temperamental. Will never use this brand again and hopefully you won't either.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hi there, thank you for reviewing our sealer. I'm sorry to hear that the Wet-Look Sealer dried milky in a couple of areas. If moisture gets trapped underneath the coating it can cause the Wet-Look Sealer to dry milky. If only one coat of sealer was applied, you can try applying another coat of sealer in a test area and it may reactivate the coating and allow the moisture to escape. If more than one coat of sealer was applied, the coating would need to be removed with a concrete paint stripper and reapplied. I’ve also reached out to you via email to learn more about your project and assist you with this further. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience with us, and I hope to hear from you soon! -Ronald

Great for resealing fire table

I have a fire table with a burner pan in the middle, surrounded by a slate top. I've used the Wet-Look Sealer on the slate, and I think it looks great. It could probably stand to be applied every year (suffering under the Texas sun), but I usually apply every 18-24 months. It's easy to work with. I clean the surface thoroughly, and then brush the sealer on.

Yes, I recommend this product.
