Where to Use

Properly prepared interior bare or stained surfaces such as furniture, moldings, cabinets, trim, wood doors and residential hardwood floors.

CAUTION: Top coated surfaces may be slippery when wet.

Product Usage

Surface Preparation

• For refinishing, remove all wax or cleaner build-up with a wax stripper or degreaser prior to sanding.
• Sand all surfaces in the direction of the wood grain to desired smoothness.
• DO NOT USE steel wool.
• Remove all dust from sanded surfaces and clean with a tack cloth.

Application

• Do not shake or thin.
• Do not apply in direct sunlight or in temperatures below 55°F (10°C) or above 90°F (32°C).
• Stir thoroughly prior to and during use.
• If wood stain color is desired, apply BEHR® Wood Stain. Follow all label instructions.
• Using a high-quality natural bristle brush, dip approximately an inch into the can, gently tapping it against the inside to remove any excess.
• Apply a thin, even coat following the direction of the grain making sure to maintain a wet edge.
• To minimize the brush marks and bubbles after staining application, tip off the surface by holding the brush at a 45-degree angle and lightly run the bristles over the entire length of the wood.
• Floor Application: 3 coats are required; use a synthetic pad applicator or bristle brush and maintain a wet edge to avoid lap marks.
• Do not puddle, over-brush or overlap finishes.
• Sand lightly between coats with fine sandpaper.
• Remove all dust prior to applying additional coats.

Dry Time

• Dries to touch in 2 hours.
• Sand or Recoat: 2-4 hours.
• After the final coat, allow 12-24 hours before light use.
• Fully cured: 3-4 days after final coat.

Disposal

• For disposal of empty containers and unused product, contact your household refuse collection service

For one year from the date of purchase, Behr Process LLC warrants to the original consumer purchaser, (1) that the product meets Behr Process LLC’s manufacturing specifications, and (2) the performance of this product when applied according to the label instructions and specifications. In the event this product proves to be defective within one year from the date of purchase, Behr Process LLC will, at its option and upon presentation of proof-of-purchase (the original receipt), either furnish an equivalent amount of new product or refund the original purchase price of this product to you. This warranty excludes (1) labor and costs of labor for the application or removal of any product, and (2) any incidental or consequential damages, whether based on breach of express or implied warranty, negligence, strict liability or any other legal theory. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any implied warranties including the implied warranties of merchantability and of fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this express warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Note to residents of the State of New Jersey: The provisions of this warranty, including its limitations, are intended to apply to the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
