Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome paint! This paint is GREAT for cabinets. Used on my kitchen cabinets and they look awesome. Glides on, dries quickly but not TOO quickly that you can't work with it. The finish is fantastic.

Was easy to work with and even my contractor thought the kitchen cabinets had been powder coated professionally! Was so easyand did almost the entire job with foam rollers! Take the extra time to prep well and it will be well worth it! Also usedthis product on exterior doors and help up amazing to NH winter!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My absolute favorite paint, ever. I discovered this paint when I was refinishing my kitchen cabinets. After realizing how hard and durable this paint is once dried, I was hooked. I use this paint for everything trim related. I’ve even used it outside on all of our windows, garage doors, doors, everything. It is expensive, but it’s worth every single penny. As long as your area is prepped correctly with the right primers and surface, this paint will last far beyond what you’ll ever need it to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great outdoor paint I bought this paint to repaint my posts on my back porch, someone mentioned you have to be an experienced painter to use it, well I sorta agree with them! 1st of all you have to do your prep work, I power washed my posts, then cleaned them with soapy water, and a scrubby pad, scraped the old paint as well. I then primed them, some spots a few more times than others, due to being down to the bare wood. I dont care about streaks, as the posts already had them, from many years of painting before me. I painted on a 78 degree day with 55% humidity, and a nice breeze . I mentioned that because someone mentioned the paint does not dry well in high humidity. Now to describe the paint. The paint is on the thinner side, so if you load your paintbrush up with alot of it your going to have a big mess, I used a Wooster pro nylon brush, it is a thinner brush with an angle.( I actually bought it by accident...thank God I did..) I used maybe 2 cups total out of the gallon, and my posts look fabulous, they dried in about 4 hours, just a tiny but tacky, and today they feel totally dried. With my prep work I only had to do 1 coat. If something changes I'll update my review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holds up well We used this paint for all of our primed mdf trim as well as an unfinished base cabinet and an exterior door with a screen door. Never had any chipping or peeling. Our vacuum scuffed the baseboards a bit but used a magic eraser on it and cleaned it up without any damage. I love how it gives a smooth finish even with brushing it on. The best part though is the price! I recommend it to anyone who needs a durable paint for cabinets, especially when they mention wanting to use one of those high-priced paint store brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth Finish! Thus paint was recommended to me by a Home Depot associate. So glad I took her advice. Didn’t want to do a whole kitchen makeover at this time so painting the cabinets made a big change to my worn cabinets. Some new hardware and I think I can live with it a few more years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product, easy to apply! I bought this Berh Alkyd paint to redo my kitchen cabinets. They were original to the house built in 1976. So needless to say, it was LONG overdue! I removed all of the cabinet doors, hardware and drawers. I washed everytging down really well and scuffed everything with a sanding block. The cabinets at some time had polyurethane applied. I applied the first coat with a brush. I used a roller on the cabinet facings and inside of the cabinets. I sprayed the second coat to ensure a nice even, smooth finish. Although I believe using a brush would have created the same result. My kitchen looks brand new! It is bright and fresh! I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to paint their cabinetry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best door paint! I started using this and hated it at first. When used correctly it is the absolute best. When you apply in thin coats with a foam roller you get a very nice smooth finish. No runs! No roller or brush marks! Great in all colors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't turn out great I've had excellent experience with Behr interior Marquee paint. I've sprayed Marquee with a HVLP sprayer and was able to get a professional-looking finish before. So I decided to give the alkyd paint a try for my exterior door. I use the same HVLP sprayer the same method for the alkyd paint but the alkyd paint came out bumpy and not a smooth finish. Also that sheen looks more like satin and not semi-gloss. Needless to say I'm very disappointed with the alkyd paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Transformative My kitchen cabinets went from old and stale to new and fresh. This paint is easy to work with and a foam roller left a beautiful finish, just what I wanted. The weather was rainy while I was painting so I gave the first coat a full day to dry before applying the second, worth the delay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent paint! I bought a house that had old wood cabinets that looked really bad but overall structure was good, so I went to Home Depot and one of employees working asked what I was painting and recommended this paint. It went on so nice and looks great, like new cabinets and two years later they still look great and clean up nicely. Really still look like just painted them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little more work but a beautiful finish This paint is a little "tackier" than others I've used. So, it took a little more work, especially on the second coat. But, the final finish is so pretty. Even the brush marks look lovely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This paint is the go-to for our trim work. Behr products in general have been the best paint for full coverage and wearability. We have been using this version for all of our trim work on our house that has been remodeled over the past 5 years. We do a good bit of painting old wood doors and cabinetry without any problems with this paint.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I use nothing but Behr. This product was pushed by sales rep for my garage doors. Your basically smearing on your first two coats with brush or a roller. Took 4 coats for full coverage. Paint was sticky between the edges of the door panels for several months. You could hear it pop apart as the door would go up. Also did the main entry door frame. That took 3 coats. Unless your spraying I’d say forget it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ignore bad reviews if you know how to paint. I used this product in jet black (limousine leather) for an oak banister and newel posts. We have sloppy 80s woodwork with lots of abuse between then and now. The last painter made sure every bristle was memorialized. I sanded, then primed with BIN by Zinser. It sucks, but do it. BIN dries fast so do four or five coats. You want to build it up a bit. Wear a mask. Use flexible sponge sanding pads and treat BIN like drywall compound; it sands like wood filler or bondo. Wear a mask. Wipe it down with a damp rag Get the rest of the dust with a tack cloth Don't skimp on these steps and then snipe the product. Use an extender. People say the stuff doesn't dry, but they were either very humid or very cold. If you want your work to look like glass in a place with proper climate control, use an extender. This stuff is not for newbs; the line between perfection and soul-destroying runs is very fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for cabinets and trim! If you do your part, this paint is amazing. Read the instructions, follow the instructions. Do your prep work, and use THIN coats. YES, this takes some time to cure, but once it does it is rock hard and durable. You can see this paint "grab" the surface when you paint. It is phenomenal for painting wood cabinets. I primed in most places, but on the undersides of the cabinets etc. I did not. It didn't matter. A few coats with this and it looks amazing. If you prepare your surface properly and follow the instructions you can't go wrong. I do suggest using the foam based rollers and a synthetic brush, or a sprayer. DO NOT THIN...if your sprayer cant handle high viscosity material without thinning, then dont spray this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not dry and scratches far too easily The other 1 star reviews are correct. This paint just does not dry, does not go on evenly and scratches far too easily. I waited the recommended time between coats and followed all the instructions. I cleaned, sanded, wiped down, primed and painted (2 coats primer and 3 coats paint in some spots) two of my bathroom vanities and though the color is beautiful I am thinking this was a waste of time and money. Very disappointed.
