Color of the Month: Amber Autumn

As cool, crisp air takes hold outdoors, so does a fresh color palette of autumnal hues. Vivid greens sweep through a spectrum of bold reds and yellows atop the trees before settling into gentler, golden tans and browns. Behr’s Amber Autumn S290-5 perfectly captures the essence of freshly fallen leaves witnessed on a walk through a park, which is why we’ve chosen it as the November Color of the Month.

Amber Autumn makes an excellent color for a home’s exterior, no matter what the season or the structure’s style. This warm, golden beige looks exceptionally inviting paired with white window and door trim. A white gated fence also looks stunning against the backdrop of the home.

Indoors, use Amber Autumn on the walls to give a living room or den a feeling of warmth. This color works well with soft suede upholstery, paired with throw pillows and blankets in assorted colors and patterns. Bold, dark blues, and golds add vibrant energy to the space. Amber Autumn is also an exceptional choice for a gallery wall featuring works in turmeric and gold tones, as these rich shades seem to come alive against the wall’s soft backdrop.

Try something different yet entirely delightful with room colors: an Amber Autumn ceiling accompanying wine-hued walls. White-colored wood trim, including the fireplace mantel, helps balance out the rich red walls. Adorn the mantel with vases and decor pieces in whites, stone gray, and a hint of turquoise for an unexpected yet inviting touch.

Amber Autumn also works with just about the dining room, whether going for a farmhouse chic look, a minimalistic space, or a style defying definition. A blonde wood dining set takes center stage here, no matter what the floor color. Silvery gray plank flooring looks wonderful in this color scheme, especially when paired with white baseboards.

The bathroom is another room that benefits from Amber Autumn, whether using it throughout a small room or on a single focal wall in a vast spa-like space. A modern, dark wood vanity paired with a white sink adds to the luxury hotel vibe. Round out the experience with charcoal or mid-tone gray stone floor, paired with an upholstered gray bench and a patterned rug featuring accents of gray and gold.

For a living space featuring white across all the walls, ceiling, and most of the furniture, Amber Autumn is a great choice for subtle accents. Select this color and similar golden hues for an armchair or a throw. Furniture with light wood legs also pairs well with both the whites and amber tones in such a space.

what undertones are in Amber autumn? I just painted dining room with Behr Roasted Pepper and love it, now I need to do ajoining living room (large archway between rooms) I can’t do a dark paint in LR, I don’t want any pink hues. I was thinking a carmel/beige, then I saw this Amber Autumn. Any suggestions:
