An inquiry came in from a reader named James, who is in search of some accent colors for his exterior front door. Front doors can be vibrant and playful, being the perfect exterior accent choice when it comes to color that will stand out for trendy curb appeal.
Hello Color Experts! I just got done painting my house in Classic Silver PPU18-11 and trim is Palais White GR-W18. I am in search of a couple ideas to paint my front door that will serve as an accent. I do not want it to be your average brown color. Please advise!

James,
Thank you for your interest in BEHR Colors! We will be more than happy to provide you with some bold accent colors suggestions for your front door.
Grays are super versatile and pair beautifully with just about any other color, from muted neutrals to rich jewel tones to vivid brights. If you’d like to make a statement with your front door consider one of these colors: Royal Gold M280-4, Caribe PPU13-01,or Spiced Wine PPU1-13.

Colorfully yours,
Deanna
Hello there. I would like to paint my front door an accent colour, preferrably a yellow. Our house is currently a match to Behr Silver Strand, and we have white Victorian-style trim. Are there any shades that you might recommend? I’m open to other colour options, as well; it doesn’t have to be yellow.
Thank you!
Hello Anita,
Thank you for visiting our blog!
Gold is always a perfect choice to pair with a gray tone. Please take a look at Inheritance M280-5, Royal Gold M280-4, Beehive M270-5 or Pyramid Gold PPU6-04.
Due to differences in monitors and technical factors, the colors here cannot be represented with
their true qualities. These color samples should only be considered a guide. Please refer to actual swatches for true color. We strongly recommend beginning with an 8 oz. sample container of the color you choose and apply it to a small area on your wall to ensure your satisfaction with the color choice. It is always a good idea to see how the light and ambient conditions affect the color at different points in the day.

Deanna
Hello! I would like to paint my inside doors another color other than white. My walls are gray and the trim is white. I have seen black/grey being used. What other colors that are not as dark would go well?
Hello Cary, thank you for visiting our blog.
Black is a great color being used for door interiors.
You can also do a dark navy or blue tone such as
Blueprint S470-5, English Channel PPU14-19, NYPD N480-6 or Midnight Blue N480-7.

Deanna
