Color of the Month: Seaside Villa

May is a month of wonder — a special time when it seems nearly everything is in bloom. From tulips to flowering trees and wildflowers found in the nearest park, nature is awash in color.  Seaside Villa, our Color of the Month select, calls to mind gentle sunrises and restorative walks gathering shells on the beach.

The top view of an open paint can, there is a haft dipped paint brush placed on top of the can, the color of the liquid paint is Seaside Villa.

Seaside Villa is a soft and subtle pastel, contributing to the airy and light vibe of a living room. Light wood tones for the floor and side table enhance the look of the room. Outfit the space with a white or light-colored sofa and pillows in assorted patterns and textures in bolder colors. A few plants or a vase of flowers add to the relaxing energy.

Paint the walls of the living room or your favorite reading and relaxing space in Seaside Villa to further enhance the calming, comforting vibe of the space. It looks great paired with white, on fireplaces, windows, and door trim. Round out the look with a patterned or textured blue throw pillow for the chair, coupled with wall art for the mantel in blues, greens and other natural tones for contrast.

Subtle pink on the bedroom walls makes for a comforting and relaxing space.  Seaside Villa plays well with any wood tones, such as dark wide-plank flooring and a reclaimed wood headboard.

A industrial-rustic master bedroom painted in a pink color, the bathroom next to the room features a gray painted sink which nicely coordinates with pink bedroom walls. The bed in the room is made of natural plant boards.

Seaside Villa works well as an accent too. For a creative variation a home office, opt for gray walls and a border using Seaside Villa on the crown molding and ceiling. Coordinate a mint green chair and a white desk for a playfully modern look.

In the bathroom, Seaside Villa’s slightly muted tone makes it perfect for modern or vintage décor. An espresso vanity topped with a white counter and sink is a nod to art déco styling. Jade-hued accessories add to the vintage vibe of the space.

Seaside Villa, is beautiful, I’m thinking of painting a hallway, using this color.
